Ma’lena, 53, is a plus sized woman who has been practicing Iyengar yoga for eight years. She has an Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from EWU. She completed Judith Hanson Lasater’s Relax and Renew® Teacher Training. In May 2006, she graduated with a Registered Yoga Teacher certificate from her 200-hour Teacher Training program at A Gentle Way Yoga Studio in San Diego, specializing in the needs of those who are plus size as well as those with health challenges. She believes laughter is an essential element of any yoga practice. Her studio, Moon Tree Gentle Yoga and Wellness Center™ opened in April 2007. Every body deserves a good stretch.™
Anne, 57, and a breast cancer survivor for 8 years now, has been practicing yoga (on and off, she will admit) since 1975. She has completed the 200-hour Teacher Training Course recognized by Yoga Alliance, and is a Registered Yoga Teacher. Prior to moving to Spokane in June 2007, she taught Serene Yoga for Cancer Recovery in Wenatchee, WA.


Daniella Twigg is a Vinyasa style yoga teacher. She received her 200 and 500 hour certification through Cloud Nine Yoga Studio and School in Seal Beach, California and is an RYT with the Yoga Alliance. She discovered yoga in the spring of 2005 and it has been a blessing in her life. She knew at once that she had to share this gift and started teaching at several studios in southern California. Daniella has recently moved back to Spokane to be closer to her family and continue sharing yoga in this beautiful city.
Janel Irland, B.S. Kinesiology, EHS Wellness Program Coordinator and Exercise Specialist. I have had the pleasure of leading group fitness classes for seven years. My background includes water aerobics, fitball, and floor aerobics. I enjoy working with different groups and teaching many different styles. I believe a good workout not only includes your body, but also your spirit.
